COMMERCIAL LEADER - PRINCIPAL CONTRACTING & M&E: £200M DATA CENTRE
Full Commercial Control: M&E & Build | West London
Are you a highly experienced Commercial Leader ready for a high-impact, business-critical role?
We are seeking an exceptional, driven, and proven commercial leader to take on full financial and contractual control of a flagship, £200m Data Centre project in the West of London. This is a unique opportunity to own the complete commercial lifecycle—covering both the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) and the main Build elements—from initial bid right through to final account.
The Role:
Commercial Leader – Project & Bidding
You will serve as the commercial figurehead for the organisation, spearheading our involvement in this major project.
- Principal Contractor Focus: You must possess a strong principal contracting understanding and proven experience in managing the commercial aspects of the full build scope, not solely M&E.
- Flagship Project Ownership: Lead the commercial delivery of a major £200m Data Centre project, ensuring financial robustness, contractual compliance, and risk mitigation across all disciplines (M&E and Build).
- Lead Bidding and Tendering: Spearhead the bidding and tendering process for key, high-value projects, shaping our commercial strategy and ensuring a competitive edge, specifically leveraging your Data Centre background.
- Commercial Leadership from Concept to Completion: Once the tender is secured, you will transition into the Lead Commercial Manager for the project, guiding its delivery and ensuring ultimate financial and contractual success.
Key Requirements:
- Essential: Proven background in commercial leadership within a Principal Contracting environment.
- Essential: Significant experience in the delivery of Data Centre projects.
- Demonstrable experience managing commercial risk and success on projects in excess of £100m.
- Ability to manage complex contracts and supply chain relationships across both M&E and General Build packages.
