One of the largest National M&E Contractors in the UK, renowned for their dedication to training and development, is experiencing significant growth. They are strengthening their Yorkshire business with this key hire to manage the complex scheduling of their M&E project pipeline.
We are searching for an experienced Senior M&E Planner to take the lead on all programming activities for major, high-value projects across the region. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who is hungry for progression and ready to manage the strategic planning of a key regional portfolio.
The Role: Strategic M&E Programming & Schedule Control
This is a pivotal, senior technical role requiring exceptional M&E process knowledge, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.

Core Objective: Assume full responsibility for the development, maintenance, and detailed analysis of all project programmes for major M&E packages in the Yorkshire region. You will ensure successful, integrated project execution from tender through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Development: Create detailed tender, contract, and integrated M&E programmes (using Primavera P6 or MS Project) that accurately reflect design, procurement, installation, and commissioning sequencing.

Schedule Management: Monitor progress, identify critical paths, analyze and forecast potential delays, and implement proactive mitigation strategies with the site teams.

Reporting & Analysis: Generate accurate progress reports, provide variance analysis (planned vs. actual), and advise senior management on programming risks and opportunities.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and clients, communicating complex programming information clearly to align expectations.

Impact: This role is directly responsible for optimizing project efficiency and commercial performance by providing accurate, defensible project schedules and timely progress intelligence.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused M&E Planning specialist:

Experience: Extensive, hands-on experience as a Senior M&E Planner or equivalent, having developed and managed programmes for large-scale M&E projects (commercial, healthcare, industrial sectors are ideal).

Expertise (M&E Essential): Must have strong technical knowledge of the M&E construction process, understanding the key interfaces, dependencies, and typical durations of mechanical and electrical installation works.

Local Requirement: Must be based locally within Yorkshire and possess strong knowledge of the regional construction market.

Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
